Privacy Policy

This policy explains how OnwardsUp collects and uses information when you visit this Surveoo information page, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

This page is an independent information resource about Surveoo. It is not operated by or affiliated with Surveoo. When you continue to Surveoo, that company collects and handles your information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

1 Who we are

This page is operated by OnwardsUp ("we", "us", "our"), a digital media and marketing partnerships business based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, OnwardsUp is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2 What this policy covers

This policy applies to this Surveoo information page and the web address it is hosted on. It does not apply to Surveoo, to the survey network you may be referred to, or to any other website we link to. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we recommend you read them before providing any personal information.

3 Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include. We use this only to respond to you.

Information collected automatically

We do not run general website analytics or social media tracking on this page. We do load two third-party scripts: one from our affiliate tracking partner Trackbeam, which measures clicks on our links so a referral can be correctly attributed to us, and a Microsoft Advertising (UET) tag, which measures how our Microsoft Ads campaigns perform and supports remarketing. The information involved is:

  • Standard server information recorded by our web host to serve and secure the page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit
  • Technical and interaction information processed by the Trackbeam script, such as your browser and device details, the page you were on, and which link you clicked
  • Technical information processed by the Microsoft UET tag, such as your browser and device details and the pages you visit on this site, used to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads on other sites you visit

We do not ask for or collect sensitive personal information on this page, and we do not sell your personal information.

4 Cookies and similar technologies

We do not run Google Analytics or social media tracking on this page.

We do use a click-measurement script provided by Trackbeam, our affiliate tracking partner. It runs when the page loads and records which of our links you click, so that a referral to Surveoo can be attributed to us. Depending on how it is configured, this script may set a cookie or store an identifier in your browser for that attribution. Trackbeam processes this information under its own privacy policy.

We also use a Microsoft Advertising (UET) tag, which runs on every page view. It sets cookies in your browser (such as _uetsid and _uetvid) to measure whether our Microsoft Ads campaigns led to a sign-up, and to support remarketing, meaning ads for services like this one may follow you on other sites you visit. Microsoft processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can limit this through Microsoft's own advertising and privacy controls, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

You can control or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this page or signing up with Surveoo.

5 How and why we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate, secure and maintain this page
  • Measure whether our advertising led to sign-ups, and manage our campaigns
  • Show ads for services like this one to people who have previously visited this page, through Microsoft's remarketing tools
  • Respond to enquiries you send us

Under UK GDPR, our lawful basis for operating and securing the page, measuring which of our links are clicked, and responding to messages you send us, is legitimate interests. The Microsoft Advertising remarketing cookie described in the Cookies section above is used to support our ad campaigns; you can prevent it by blocking third-party cookies or adjusting your ad personalisation settings with Microsoft.

6 Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with service providers who process it on our behalf or under their own policies:

  • Trackbeam for affiliate conversion tracking and attribution when you click through to Surveoo
  • Surveoo and its survey network, only if you choose to click through and sign up. From that point, your information is handled under their policies, not ours.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights and the security of this page.

7 International data transfers

Some of our providers, including Trackbeam, may be based outside the UK, so your information may be transferred internationally. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as UK approved contractual clauses (the International Data Transfer Addendum) or a valid adequacy decision, so your information keeps a similar level of protection.

8 How long we keep information

We keep conversion-tracking data for as long as needed to measure and manage our campaigns, in line with the retention settings of the providers listed above. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

9 Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information
  • Ask us to transfer your information (data portability)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out

To exercise any of these rights, email offers@onwardsup.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to help first.

10 Children

This page is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and Surveoo is generally open only to people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally so you are aware of any changes.
